Researchers from the Circular Future Cities (CFC) project hosted the 90th Discussion Forum on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) titled "Reduction of Building Embodied Impacts: Circular Construction", which took place on May 7, 2025, in Zurich. The event was co-organized by Carlo Schmid and Shuyan Xiong from the CFC module, and multiple other CFC researchers presented their findings and moderated discussions.

The 90th LCA Discussion Forum brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore the role of LCA in evaluating circular economy solutions to reduce embodied emissions in the built environment. Sessions addressed themes such as LCA case studies (e.g., material reuse and recycling), digital tools enabling circular construction (data governance, material passports), stakeholder needs (from construction companies and public building owners), and building stock modeling for assessing future scenarios.
