Dear FCL Global Community,

Last week, FCL Global led the organisation of The AI Playbook – an SEC Software Chapter initiative aimed at equipping researchers with the latest advancements in AI for Science.

Experts from the FCL Global Engagement Platform, the Semantic Urban Elements ([SUE]) module, and Future Resilient Systems led sessions on a range of key topics. These included practical tools for integrating AI into research workflows, the development of agentic AI systems using open-source frameworks like the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and emerging discussions around AI ethics and policy. We also introduced SEC-based researchers to the broader work towards AI for Science at our partner institutions, such as the ETH Zurich AI Ethics and Policy Network and the NUS AI Community-of-Practice.
