Dear FCL Global Community,
Earlier this week, the Singapore hub experienced a 22-degree sun halo, emerging from refractions formed as light passes through ice crystals in the sky. While relatively common in Switzerland, they are rarely seen in Singapore. It is a striking reminder of the beauty that is possible in an atmosphere of alignment and opportunity.
Leading lights in the urbanism space from around the world will align here in Singapore for the Future Cities Symposium & Exhibition 2025, to be held September 4 at the National Design Centre and September 5 at CREATE. We are looking forward to welcoming the FCL Global family, as well as friends from science, design, engineering, and governance communities in Singapore and beyond, to celebrate the programme's progress and contributions over the past five years.
We wanted to remind everyone that all researchers attending the event are required to RSVP in advance.
This is to help us plan event capacity and ensure that we are able to meet everyone's dietary restrictions and accessibility needs.

We are proud to share that there has been overwhelming public response to the event, with public registrations automatically closed as of August 28. We are excited that many people in Singapore are looking forward to hearing not only from our constellation of key experts from around the world, but also from the many researchers and investigators that have helped make FCL a success.
We may ask researchers to be stationed at the exhibition tables to assist in touring members of the public.
We hope to see everyone in Singapore!
Warmest regards,
Joshua Vargas
