Dear FCL Community,
From September 15th to 17th, the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) community came together once again for Singapore National Coding Week 2025. FCL Global's Engagement Platform team played a major role in organising this year’s programme, alongside the broader SEC Software Chapter. The week was filled with inspiring workshops, hands-on activities, and games that reminded us how fun and rewarding technology can be when explored together.
Highlights from the week included:
- Agentic AI Frontiers: Building Next-Generation Tools with AI
Participants explored how emerging AI technologies can transform the way we design and build tools, gaining insights into both the opportunities and challenges of agentic systems. - Data to Decisions: Data Visualisations
This session focused on the power of data storytelling. Attendees learned how to interpret, design, and communicate insights effectively through impactful visualisations. - A Playbook for Data Processing
A practical, hands-on workshop where participants discovered efficient approaches to structuring, cleaning, and preparing data for real-world applications. - Games: Code Connections
Back by popular demand, "Crack the Code" challenged participant's logic thinking and combinatory skills, while "Code Connections" demanded tech knowledge and word association.
Key Takeaways
National Coding Week 2025 highlighted how innovation flourishes when we bring diverse perspectives together. From exploring the frontier of AI to strengthening core data skills, participants left with fresh knowledge, practical tools, and an appreciation for the creativity at the heart of coding. The interactive games reminded us that problem-solving can be as fun as it is challenging—fuelling teamwork, curiosity, and friendly competition.
As we look ahead, this year’s activities reinforced a simple truth: coding is not just about technical skills—it’s about imagination, collaboration, and building solutions that matter. We encourage you to carry forward the energy and ideas from this week, continue experimenting, and stay engaged with the vibrant tech community.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, speakers, and organizers who contributed to making National Coding Week 2025 a memorable experience.
Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn, create, and connect!
