Dear FCL Global Community,
October 4 will mark the final public viewing day of the Future Cities Exhibition Singapore 2025, hosted at CREATE Gallery in University Town, Singapore. We were heartened by the interest from members of Singapore's academic and practice communities and the general public who visited the Exhibition to learn more about our research.
We were especially honoured to host Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, Permanent Secretary (National Research and Development) and Chairman of A-STAR, and former President of the National University of Singapore for a tour. Researchers from the Singapore hub enjoyed this opportunity for lively exchanges with Professor Tan about our work, as well as the relevance of urban science research for Singapore and the world.
As we transition towards the end of the programme, we wanted to thank all of the researchers for their contributions towards making FCL Global a success. The strong public interest in our programme is a testament to the potential of FCL Global research to reshape urban practice and thought leadership. We hope to encourage everyone to share their findings beyond the academic community. Policy briefs, such as on the International Journal of Smart and Sustainable Cities, or IJSSC, are one way to elevate the impact and accessibility of our research to policymakers. We also encourage everyone to share more about their work to the public through media engagements or social media posts - reach out to FCL Global Communications (fclcommunications@sec.ethz.ch) for any inquiries.
