Semantic Urban Elements: Linking Urban Analytics, Design, and Usage for Cyber-Physical Cities

  • PI Filip Biljecki gave a guest lecture at Tongji University, China, and presented at the GeoHB2025: 2nd International Workshop on Geo-spatial Computing for Understanding Human Behavior.

Circular Future Cities

  • A journal paper titled "A literature review of measurement methods for building designs that enable higher-value resource recovery: the circular economy potential framework" has been published in the International Journal of Sustainable Engineering. Authors: Goran Sibenik, Benjamin Sanchez, Rudi Stouffs, and Pieter Herthogs. The paper is available here (open access): https://doi.org/10.1080/19397038.2025.2573270
  • On Friday 14 November, PI Rudi Stouffs gave a keynote at the Leonhard Obermeyer Center Day, Oskar-von-Miller Forum, Munich. The Leonhard Obermeyer Center is also known as the TUM Center of Digital Methods for the Built Environment.

15 Years Singapore-ETH Centre International Research Hub

Public

Please join us as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) with the VIP opening event on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, starting at 17:00 at ETH Main Building in Zurich. Following the welcome speeches and presentations from the research programmes in the Semperaula, the SEC exhibition will open at 18:30 in ETH main hall. The exhibition highlights 15 years of research work at the SEC with its research programmes FCL, FHT, and FRS and offers a glimpse into the future. The apéro will provide an opportunity to network with members of the ETH School Board as well as high-ranking representatives from the City and Canton of Zurich, among others.
