Dear FCL Global Community,
At CyberSG Innovation Day 2025, the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) and our partners from Illinois ARCS, Nexusguard, Blindspot Technologies, Giesecke+Devrient ePayments Asia, and G+D Netcetera were awarded the CRPO Translation and Innovation Grant (Series 2). This milestone accelerates our work on the Future Internet Resilience Exchange (FIREx) toward commercialisation and an eventual spin-off venture. This achievement, supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and administered by CRPO at NTU, reflects more than technical progress. It demonstrates the power of collaboration and active engagement.
This is also a significant win for the Singapore team behind FutureCitiesLab.world, our engagement platform. The same philosophy that drives the platform, active engagement and collaboration with stakeholders to co-develop impactful solutions, shaped the FIREx proposal led by Dr Felix Kottmann from SEC, the project lead. The team worked tirelessly to align academic research, industry priorities, and national cybersecurity goals into a coherent vision. It wasn't just about writing a proposal; it was about building trust, listening, and creating solutions that matter.
FutureCitiesLab.world is more than a platform. It is a digital space designed to amplify FCL's impact and vision by facilitating seamless sharing of knowledge, data, and information across Institutions, supporting your daily research activities, and enhancing cross-disciplinary collaboration. But its real impact comes from what happens beyond the screen, continuous dialogue, co-creation, and innovation. FIREx and FutureCitiesLab.world share the same mission: turning ideas into action through meaningful engagement.
We want your voice in shaping this vision. Explore FutureCitiesLab.world, share your feedback, and contribute your ideas to help us build an engagement platform that truly serves the community.
Best regards,
Associate Director (Technology)
