FCL GlobalViews is an interactive 3D model of Zurich that allows users to design urban planning scenarios by modifying the land cover. These scenarios are then used as input to calculate different ecosystem services e.g. air temperature, air quality, carbon sequestration and more. This allows to model and compare the impact of urban design on ecosystem services. Also, FCL GlobalViews allows to create real estate scenarios for building plots in Zurich according to the communal building laws and calculate their economic value. Combining the results of the ecosystem services analysis and the real estate assessment, the tool shows multiple dimensions of a development project in one single 3D model.
