The automatic building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) facade panelization tool is designed to optimize solar energy generation on complex building facades. It performs high-resolution electrical and solar simulations, taking into account every architectural feature such as balconies, windows, and varying surface orientations. The tool accurately assesses shading factors and external obstructions, enabling precise prediction of solar performance across the facade. Based on these simulations, it generates an optimal photovoltaic (PV) layout, ensuring maximum energy efficiency while seamlessly integrating with the building’s aesthetic and functional design. This tool is especially valuable for urban environments where space and solar exposure vary significantly.

The BIPV panelizer utilizes the CACTUS framework as underlying simulation tool.

Automatic BIPV panelization tool. To be released soon!
