What: "Designing resilient blue-green infrastructures in the peri-urban landscape of Antananarivo, Madagascar" Exhibition

Where: Arsenale, Venice

When: May 10th to November 23rd, 2025

Ground is the primary infrastructure project of humanity. Design creativity intertwined with scientific knowledge can draw from digital and hydrological models to access this biophysical reality. In the peri-urban landscape of Antananarivo, Madagascar, iterative science-design loops unite experts and stakeholders to transform critical infrastructures for flood mitigation and socio-ecological well-being.

Image above: Green and blue infrastructure is developed by ETH students and researchers in the peri-urban area of Antananarivo, Madagascar. The solutions were developed by modifying a LiDAR survey in a highly targeted way and by integrating hydrology through a water flow simulation (flow represented by white lines, and elevation represented from 1248 m in blue to 1250 m AMSL in red).
